Most people coming to Russia don't know Russian. It's not a problem at all. A lot of people know at least few words of English and they will be happy to help you for free on the streets or cafes and restaurants.

But sometimes there will be probably situations when you need an interpreter for meeting a friend, an official ceremony or during a business meeting. It's always convenient to hire an experienced interpreter on an hourly basis.
